Is the lab legally registered?

YES

Does Global Laboratories Health Wellness Services accept health insurance cards?

YES - ALL MAJOR HEALTH CARDS ACCEPTED

Can insurance pay for all my tests?

Insurance does not pay for all tests.

The following tests not covered:
  • Tests done as medical for school or work or migration
  • Fertility related tests
  • CA125 or CEA
  • Paternity
  • Maternity

Can I use another person's health insurance benefit

NO

Can I do my tests then bring health card after?

NO, Health card must be presented at time & date of tests.

Can I tests results before routine TAT?

YES - there is a fee for results needed before scheduled TAT.

How long does it take to get pap smear results?

10 working days

Why do some tests take longer than others to be completed?

The test methods are different & longer for some tests, we outsource some tests.

How do I know for sure my tests results are complete?

How do I know when not to eat or drink before testing?

 
DO NOT EAT OR DRINK* FOR the following tests:
  • Fasting blood sugar
  • Cholesterol
  • Vitamin B12 & folic acid
  • GTT

Is there any other medical professional* who can order blood tests?

 YES,
  • Nutritionists
  • Public Health Nurse
  • Midwife
  • Dentist
  • Ophthalmologist
  • ENT
  • Naturopathic doctor

(*Conditions apply with respect to health insurance coverage in some cases)

Can I come in to the lab & get tested without going to a doctor or clinic?

YES - ONLY SOME tests Can be done this way.

  • Repeat clients on monitoring therapy

Can I download my test results?
